\e is used for a variety of terminal applications.

Escape Sequences

\m can be used to create an ASCII character by its key code in decimal:

"\m65" %% A

\u can be used to create an ASCII character by its hexadecimal key code:

"\u{0065}" %% E

It requires a { and a } to denote the beginning and end of the escape sequence.
